Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of golden-codes.com (the “Site”) and your purchase of GoldenCodes software products — the GoldenCodes Pro theme, its add-ons and related services (the “Products”). By creating an account, placing an order or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

“GoldenCodes”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of golden-codes.com. You can reach us through the details on our Contact page.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including license keys shown in it.
  • You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your country, or act on behalf of a business that is.

3. Products and licenses

Every Product is sold with a license. What a license includes (number of sites, updates, support, renewal, transfers) is described in our License Terms and on each product page, and forms part of these Terms. The software itself is released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later; the license you buy covers the services described in the License Terms.

4. Orders, prices and taxes

  • Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and may change at any time; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) are added at checkout where required.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We never see or store your full card details.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud or an error in pricing, and will refund any amount charged.

5. Delivery

Products are digital and delivered electronically. After payment, your license is issued automatically and appears in your account panel together with your downloads and a confirmation email. No physical goods are shipped.

6. Updates and support

Updates and support are provided for the period stated in your license (by default one year from purchase). Support covers installing and using the Products as documented; it does not include custom development, third-party plugins or hosting issues. We aim to reply promptly but do not guarantee response times unless a plan says so.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • share, publish, sell or resell license keys, or use a key on more sites than your license allows;
  • circumvent, disable or tamper with license, update or download mechanisms in order to obtain services you have not paid for;
  • use the Site or Products unlawfully, to harm others, or to attack, probe or overload our systems;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with us.

We may suspend a license that shows signs of abuse (for example one key activated on many unrelated sites) and will contact you to resolve it.

8. Intellectual property

The GoldenCodes name, logos and branding belong to us. The Products are licensed to you under the GNU General Public License v2 or later as described in the License Terms. Content you submit to us stays yours; you grant us the right to use it only to provide the services you request.

9. Third-party services

The Products and the Site may work with third-party software and services (for example WordPress, WooCommerce, payment providers and email delivery). Those are governed by their own terms and we are not responsible for them.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Products and the Site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for keeping backups of your own website.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Products or the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Product is limited to the amount you paid for that Product in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Site and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or a license if you materially breach these Terms. Because the software is yours to keep under its open-source license, termination ends the services tied to the license (updates, downloads, support), not your right to use the code you already hold under the GPL.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on the Site or by email, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GoldenCodes is established, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence are not affected.
