License Terms

This page explains what you get when you buy a GoldenCodes license. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. What a license gives you

  • Perpetual use. You can keep using the versions you have, for as long as you like. A license does not expire into a locked product: if your updates period ends, everything keeps working.
  • Updates and downloads for the period in your license (one year from purchase unless the product page says otherwise).
  • Support for the same period.
  • Activations on the number of sites your plan includes (see below).

2. Plans

  • GoldenCodes Pro — 1 Site / 5 Sites. The GoldenCodes theme and every Pro add-on. Pro add-ons released during your updates period are included automatically.
  • Single add-ons. A license for one add-on only (1 site). If you later want the full Pro bundle, you can upgrade and pay the price difference; your license key stays the same.
  • Extensions such as Auto Parts are sold separately and are not part of Pro.

3. Activations and sites

  • Each license key can be active on as many live sites at the same time as its plan allows (1 or 5).
  • Local, development and staging sites (for example localhost, *.local, *.test, staging.*, dev.*) do not use an activation.
  • You can move a license to a new site yourself from your account panel, up to three times in 30 days. Contact us if you need more.
  • Cloned or migrated sites are detected automatically; a clone is treated as a staging copy and does not use an activation.

4. Keeping the license active

Your site connects to our license server to check your license and look for updates. If it cannot connect (for example because of a firewall or a server outage), your products keep working: the last confirmation stays valid for an offline period of about 30 days.

5. Renewals

When your updates and support period ends you can renew from your account panel to receive further updates and support. Renewing early extends from your current end date, so you do not lose any days. Renewal is optional and your site keeps working either way.

6. The software and open-source licensing

The GoldenCodes theme and add-ons are released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later, like WordPress itself. You may modify the code and use it on your own sites. What the license key controls is the service around the software — automatic updates, downloads, support and the activation system — which is why license keys must not be shared or resold.

7. What is not allowed

  • Sharing, publishing or reselling license keys, or using one key on more sites than your plan allows.
  • Removing or bypassing the license, update or download mechanisms in order to receive services you did not pay for.
  • Reselling GoldenCodes products as your own product under a different name.

8. Suspension and refunds

A license showing signs of abuse may be suspended until we have resolved it with you. If an order is fully refunded, its license is revoked immediately. See our Refund Policy.
